Flore Arts Events was formed in 2016 in the village of Flore, Northamptonshire by a group of like-minded people with the objective of raising money for local charities through a programme of arts-related events and activities. Since our inception we have hosted a range of musical events from early music to jazz - not to mention poetry evenings and a silent movie night.​​

Many thanks to all of you who have so generously supported our events. We have now raised in excess of £35,000 for local charities

Joe Martin, Saturday September 19th. All Saints Church, Flore. 7.30pm. Acclaimed Country singer-songwriter with a growing reputation both here and overseas.

​

Hailing from Lancashire Joe has rapidly gained a strong reputation for his performances, with a New York Times commentator praising his rich, resonant voice. Joe’s influences are rooted in the American storytelling world of Bob Dylan, James Taylor and Simon & Garfunkel as well as Nashville. Very much a 21st century troubadour, he has toured extensively in the UK and the US and recently released his third album “Alone in Valentine”. This includes collaborations with top Nashville session musicians.

For his Flore programme Joe will be performing some of his own acclaimed songs as well as a set of James Taylor classics.

Poetry Please: Sunday September 6th. The theme will be “Journeys”. As usual feel free to bring along any poem you would like to share, not necessarily related to the theme. Or just come and listen. Meet at the White Hart in Flore, 6.30pm to 8.00pm.

2027 calendar date: Silent Movie evening, Saturday January 9th, All Saints Church, Flore. Vincent Byrne returns to present classic films from the golden age of silent movies - with musical accompaniment. He will be joined by renowned percussionist Nick Ward who will add a range of ingenious special effects.
